AG bold capital S is one of my favorite letterforms. Here is a screencap of the project I’ve been working on nonstop for the past few days (I’ve been at it for about 30 hours total, just ask my girlfriend). I’m pretty excited about how it’s turning out. This project wasn’t about making or selling a custom typeface. AG bold is one of my favorite fonts and I wanted to do something that would take my appreciation of the letterforms to a whole new level. It’s kind of like how when you ride your bike you get a whole different feel for the subtleties of the neighborhood than you would if you were driving. Instead of opening up illustrator or photoshop and placing a text box, I printed out the alphabet and drew everything by hand. Kind of similar, right?
